Preorder: AUN - Black Pyramid LP and AUN - VII 2xLP

Hello everyone,

a nice new schmankerl for you: we're very proud to present you the first 2 releases of the latest denovali addition: AUN from Canada. You might already know the two because of releases they did on several other labels. We're releasing their two albums called BLACK PYRAMID and VII for the first time on vinyl, where the latter contains four new songs which have not been available on the CD version. BLACK PYRAMID is available on two colours and is limited to 300 copies in total, whereas VII comes on 3 colours and is limited to 500. Preview pics and further details concerning the albums are available below.

The test pressings for both will be confirmed this week - so we're hopefully able to ship the records in the next 2 weeks. You can also see AUN live in Europe: for a short tour in June and a longer one together with KODIAK and N around the Swingfest in October. Dates will be available soonish on our homepage.

- and it's a really big honor to let you know that THOMAS KÖNER will join the festival on the third day - October 2nd. Over his long, much celebrated career, he has worked on installation works, sound art and minimal soundscapes. At the Swingfest he will present a mixture of sounds and video performance. AUN - BLACK PYRAMID LP



Continuing on the foundations laid with the acclaimed 2009 album Motorsleep, AUN are further blurring the line where earth and space intersect with the ominous floating monolith "Black Pyramid". Casting a new shadow, the seven tracks that make up Black Pyramid are loosely inspired by the worlds created by visionary french artist Enki Bilal. While still dealing in dark matter, the twisted guitar and electronics mutations find the duo at their most melodic, luminous and accessible yet, but in the world of AUN there is always a very fine line between light and darkness. AUN's singular psychedelic ambient drones laid on Black Pyramid definitely marks this release as some of their best work yet, and this says a lot about the sheer power of this new album given their prolific and highly praised discography.

AUN - VII 2xLP



Aun's music, generally shifts between dreamy lulling harmonic distortion, to sheer gut wrenching ultra downtuned avant black dirge, Aun's "VII" is of the latter. Of strong melodic and compositional sense, impossibly detuned guitars and electric power surges, soar through deep space and into black holes. While demented acid fueled fidles torments the high ends, ghostly cow-boy melodies and industrial strength psychedelia, are time kept by Away of metal legends: Voivod. Playing an uncharacteristic strain of jazzy, motorik and tribal rhythms, Away traps the surreal electrocution state of "VII" into a powerful otherwordly statement.
