VUUR: update

We agree: it has been a long time since you heared anything from us. A lot happened - these are the facts.

In may 2005, Yannick (vocals) announced he was forced to stop singing/screaming for the band, because of problems with his vocal chords. We immediately cancelled all shows and the planned mini-tour through France & Germany, and spent some time on thinking what we would do.
We checked with Koen whether he would be interested in singing/screaming for Vuur again (back in the early days, Vuur had 2 vocalists: Yannick & Koen), and he said yes. The rehearsels & the new material are working out very well. We should be ready to play shows again in november 2005. And it's about time! Send us a mail if you are interested.

More exciting news: we have several new releases planned. Coming up:

> Vuur discography-CD, japanese release (Acclaim Records, japan - jan2006)
> Vuur discography-CD, european release (Shove Records, italy - jan2006)
> Vuur discography-10" (own release - 2005)
This discography-release will contain 10 songs we recorded over the past years, all with Yannick on vocals. It will include the tracks from all the split-releases & compilations (including the previously unreleased Born Against-cover). All recordings will be re-mastered in september. Possibly the CD-version might have extra video-footage from a show we played in Hoogeveen (hol). We are very excited about this. Finally collecting all these tracks on one CD (not everyone has a recordplayer anymore), and it's a fine tribute to Yannick. We are also very pleased with the recordlabels involved. We will probably release the 10"-version (on vinyl - one pressing) ourselves, unless we find a label interested in doing this as well.

This 7" will have all new songs which still have to be recorded (hopefully by early 2006). Heart On Fire Records is one of the few DIY-labels in Belgium right now, which is also important to us.

> compilation-7" (1 previously unreleased track) ( Ape Must Not Kill Ape Records, Switzerland - late 2006)
Contributing the long-recorded Vuur-coverversion of the Born Against-song 'Mary And Child'. Mind you: this 7" will appear in a series of 7"s. Subscribers get an extra 7", which is the compilation-7".

> The Vuur/Seein'red split-7" is sold out. You will probably be able to pick up a copy here & there at your local DIY-distro or mailorder.
> People have asked us for copies of our old demotape. It's recorded on a basic tapedeck, sounds rough & has old material (stuff we don't play anymore) & early versions of some studiotracks. Not great soundquality-wise, but a mail if interested.
> New Vuur-buttons and Vuur-patches coming up. We're increasing the Vuur-promo-material, but at DIY-prices.
> Our website has been totally updated.
