Hello everyone.

It's been a while since we've written the last newsletter. So where to start now? Thanks a lot to everyone who joined this year's Swingfest edition. We've really enjoyed the three days - we hope you've had a nice time as well. Second aspect: We're sorry for the little delays regarding orders placed between the end of September and today. The festival was very stressful – we therefore were not able to ship all items directly after purchase. We're now more or less back on track. So all new orders should leave within three working days again.

BLUENECK - EPILOGUE CD | LP | MP3



UK band Blueneck bring their trademark sense of melancholy mood and melody to a new instrumental project called "Epilogue", due for worldwide release on Denovali records in October 2012. Typically known for the distinctive haunting vocals of mainman Duncan Attwood, "Epilogue" takes a deliberately different approach. Inspired by Attwood's recently commissioned solo work on soundtracks for independent films, not to mention the influence of inspirational composers and soundscapers such as BRIAN ENO, AIR, JOHN CARPENTER and CLINT MANSELL, this vocal-free release is the soundtrack to an (as yet) imaginary film. Epilogue" follows a trio of critically-acclaimed full length albums (2006's Scars of the Midwest; 2009's The Fallen Host ; 2011's Repetitions).

Attwood says ""Epilogue" is intended as both the start and end of a number of distinct creative periods. It's a bookend to our three previous full-length vocal albums, a statement of intent on our parallel soundtrack work, and a means of clearing our collective minds before we started work on our new recording. It's our intention that the Blueneck you hear in the future will be markedly different to what you hear on this release". The band are currently working on the release of their fourth full-length vocal album, as yet untitled, due for release on Denovali in 2013.

LENTO - ANXIETY DESPAIR LANGUISH CD | LP | MP3



After the well-acclaimed studio albums "Earthen" (2007) and "Icon" (2011), and their latest live album "Live Recording 8.10.11" (2012) LENTO are now presenting their brand new third full length called "Anxiety Despair Languish".

The greatest ambition of this album is to keep alive the immediacy of “Earthen” with the violence and aggressiveness of “Icon”. However, Anxiety Despair Languish is something more respect Lento's past albums: it tries to make a summary of the whole heavy music panorama of our time. The result is the most ambitious work that they could make: an album for people who are not used to that kind of music, and for people who solely like that kind of music.

The highly renowned loudness of their live performance has been reproduced in studio through the work of Lorenzo Stecconi and Matteo Spinazzè. Thirteen instrumental songs which does not sigh for the voice lack for a total running of 40 minutes and 50 seconds. After several intense years touring the whole europe between the 2007 and the 2012, this album represent a key moment in the band history.

Last year Dominic celebrated their 10-year anniversary as a band, and now they have begun the process of a new decade. Spring and summer 2012 has been spent in the studio where they have been working on their third studio album, and during the upcoming fall they will finish the recordings. Even if the album is still a few months away, there is already possibilities of a sneak listen of what to expect. The band will do a short tour in Germany in October and at the same time release a 10-inch with a brand new song, plus to re-recordings of two songs from their previous album Nord (2009). The new song is entitled Right For Me and will be out on a 10-inch which will be for sale from October 2012 on Denovali Records.
