This is a band that started playing way back in the hardcore/punk area of the nineties and is still going on strong, as if nothing happened in all these years. One of the HITCH people has a past in this band, that’s where he got to learn to play the bass so fast and furious as he still does. Nahende Vernichtung may well the oldest band we ever had on Farmfest, but with a history like theirs, they deserve their place on our stage. Fasten your seatbelts, because this gig might be over before you know it.

MUHLE (Bruges) 22h- 22h45
Moustacherock! Mühle is a harsh noise and grindcore musical collective consisting of four nephews and brothers: Häns, Wiö, Jürgen and Bërt Mühle. They bring dark, intoxicated melodies for the Mühle generation. Mühle scored high on the eindejaarslijstjes of Metal Hammer magazine with their untitled seminal debut picture disc “ featuring war mongering hits such as “Halitosis = Your Mühle”, “Laxatives for your Mühle” and “The Sand is your Mühle”. The return of WIXEL at Farmfest with his band Guernica. A young, new Belgian band to open the festivities on Saturday, there are certain traditions that need to be held high. Better be on time and not miss this promising new talents. Think Pavement meets Sonic Youth getting a ride by My Bloody Valentine. Ok this does sound too nineties for you ? You need more obscure now names ? Here you go: Amusement Parks On Fire mixed by Deerhoof while they were listening to Sigur Ros.

OFFICER JONES AND HIS PATROL CAR PROBLEMS (B) 17h15-17u55
They emerge from the Belgian hardcore scene, tired with the typical hardcore musical norms, trying to search for something completely different. Officer Jones ended up wiping off the classic song structures and themes off the table. Seeing them live is a unique experience. Raw, aggressive and oddly structured songs not unlike Botch and The Dillinger Escape Plan. Debut album “Memorial” is out now. If you recognize the scene star in this gang, you have the chance to win a ride on the farm bull.

IGNATZ (B) 18h40-19h20
Ignatz is one man band Bram Devens from the world famous Belgian K-Raa-K³ label. Folkish guitar music wrapped up in a cloud of effects and electronic noises and sparse lyrics mumbled like a Tom Waits who had too much cigarettes. His debut album was praised by the well known Pitchfork Magazine. Improvisation and spontaneity are two basic statements within Ignatz' musical universe. Expect the unexpected.

THE SEDAN VAULT (B) 20h05-20h50
The Sedan Vault has been applauded by a lot of Belgian and foreign media as one of the most adventurous rock bands in the Flemish area. Comparisons often refer to The Mars Volta, but we tend to think that The Sedan Vault reaches back to the glory days of At The Drive In and the bottled up anger of late Fugazi. They don’t need the guitar solos to convince or 30 minutes songs, they just need a stage, amplifiers, and you, dear audience.

It’s been ages that we have tried to get this friendly gang out of Croatia to come and play in our galaxy, and finally they will. Analena features a member of Lunar and wild front woman Ana that will make you want to dance with her. Please don’t call this “emo”, it’s so much more than that, it’s power, it’s pop, it’s HC/punk, it is bloody good old fashioned Rock with capital R.
