It's unbelieve how the Czech band Lvmen managed to achieve such a large and loyal following - after all they left us with just 7 recorded songs and took a 4 years break. More than that, they anyhow managed to draw new people interested in their music and visual art, which is something most of the bands can only dream.
Lvmen is back now, with first of all An Anthology Of Previously Released Songs, containing all songs from the Raison d'etre album and the self titled 12" which was previously available on vinyl format only and is out of press for a few years. Moreover, the new Lvmen recorded new music and released a brand new album called Mondo on Day After Records.
Lvmen stands for long and groovy songs where they build dark, monumental sound walls and tear them down with atmospheric instrumental fields. Teasing keyboards, captivating female vocals, sampled sequences from 60's movies, brutal music blending the apocalypse of Neurosis, the math-metal of Isis, the desperation of Swans and the nervousness of Slint's "Spiderland" album.
