We're back from our first DENOVALI SWINGFEST LONDON edition. Thanks to all the artists for their great sets, to the very nice team of the Scala for the good service, to our friends helping out with the event and last but not least the great audience for the outstanding interest and support. We'll try to set up the event again next year. Next stop will be our home event in Essen in October.

Sorry that the delivery of orders in the past 10 days needed a bit longer to ship than usual. We were pretty busy with the festival.


NEW RELEASE
We're pleased to present you the 11th album of TERMINAL SOUND SYSTEM called „A Sun Spinning Backwards“. Weaving together threads of post-rock and electronica, space-rock atmospherics with devastating passages of doom, A Sun Spinning Backwards is a multifaceted journey from inner to outer space.

In line with this new masterpiece we're offering a repress of the „Constructing Towers“ album – this time also available on cd in a nice digipak cover. Both albums should be ready to ship next week.

The PIANO INTERRUPTED album also should be ready to ship early next week.

TERMINAL SOUND SYSTEM – A SUN SPINNING BACKWARDS CD | 2x12'' | DIGITAL



Formed in a dingy Melbourne warehouse at the turn of the century, Terminal Sound System began as a vehicle for Skye Klein, half of Relapse Records cult doom/noise duo HALO, to explore his interest in experimental electronic music and Dub.

Ten albums later, TSS has expanded to include live instrumentation and synchronious video projection, merging epic doom, post-rock and jazz with electronica, drum'n'bass and heavy dub into a style wholly unique. Ostensibly a studio project, Terminal Sound System takes on new life as a live entity, infusing hyperprecise digital audio with the energy of rock & metal, all presented before synchronised video projection.

With 'A Sun Spinning Backwards' Terminal Sound System now present their eleventh release and third on Germany's Denovali, which extends onward and outward the path forged by the ‘vast' (The Sleeping Shaman) and ‘immersive' (De:Bug) 2011's Heavy Weather.

A Sun Spinning Backwards is a record filled with foreboding and hope in equal measures; foreboding for a seemingly unstoppable race towards extinction, hope for a future path that will be shaped and paved by our children.

Weaving together threads of post-rock and electronica, space-rock atmospherics with devastating passages of doom, A Sun Spinning Backwards is a multifaceted journey from inner to outer space.

TERMINAL SOUND SYSTEM – CONSTRUCTING TOWERS CD | 2x12'' | DIGITAL



Terminal Sound System is the nom de plume of Skye Klein, who merges together electronica, drum and bass and rock music on Constructing Towers. Packing all these elements into a single noisy convergence of drum splashes and distorted fizz is opening track 'In Your Planet', which sounds like a grand finale to the album before it's even got underway. Elsewhere, 'Year Of The Pig' holds itself together with a dubstep-influenced bassline that's constantly threatening to blow its top - which it does, repeatedly. 'Alaska' is another fiery package, full of thrashy malevolence. Towards the end of the album a soundtrack-style, loungey jazz theme seems to set in through the Twin Peaks vibes of 'Duchamp Falls' and 'Theme For Broken Home', making for a far more rounded listening experience than the powerful bluster of its early stages might have suggested.
